Monotheism

Lately i’ve been reading, “Jews, Christians, and Muslims” a textbook I recieved from my world religions class in 2008. I never finished. I’m trying to learn all I can before I decide to take classes again. The book relates the ideals of Judaism, Muslims, and Christianity. It’s becoming very clear to me that they each evolved from the seperation of their authority. Karaites, Martin Luther, and Qumran community in the dead sea scrolls, Mutazilites. . I’ve also come to realize that some of my ideals about religion and God are taken from all different one of these three beliefs. All three of these religious backgrounds base wisdom as the main source of obediance. All three, also believe that human rebelliousness need repentance and restoration. Montanus, Monophysite, hypostases are some of the things I believe in christian faith. Although, i’m not totally convinced that God would try to get Muhammad to read something knowing all ready that he couldn’t read or write. I put tremendous pressure on myself. I readily agree with implementing more doctrines, and acts in order to outwiegh my christian belief. I was in perfect state of awe and shock that the Jews believed that the cosmic array of the zodiac had any relationship with the afterlife. The belief also that our acts on earth would affect the Lord above. I’m not completely satirical so, I am open to the idea of angels at each planetary sphere. However, Zohar’s idea that we had any impact on bringing the Messiah is completely out of the question when it clearly states in the Bible that noone will know about the coming of the Messiah. I respect Roman and papal authority, I respect Jews following of the sanctities of rules and obligations, and I respect Muslims distinct doctrines, and devotional acts. I respect them because, I feel like Christian orthodox in this century has evolved in basic belief, but rarely in change. The obvious being that majority of Christians don’t do anything to represent their christian faith. I’m not a perfect example. I’m studying the Bible and like many other Christians I don’t believe sacrifice is really necessary to go to heaven. I would like to implement more articles of faith in my life. I would like to know any suggestions?
